about UNCAGED

UNCAGEDcreative was started in 2014 out of my desire to get back out into the world and work with clients and companies of many different types, sizes and specialties. It was also borne from my need to get out of the back room of a company I was working for.

So, I built a company around the ideas that: 1. good design doesn’t have to cost more and 2. good, trustworthy and creative people are still in this business, ready to help people in need – it’s not all about the money.

Since then, I have had the opportunity to really feel like I’m helping people navigate the, sometimes, difficult task of their brand, marketing and digital presence. AND it’s an ever-changing map with companies like Google and Facebook changing the rules, moving the pieces around and turning the Internet into a veritable maze!

I am uniquely positioned, being a small design boutique, to offer my clients very personal attention. That coupled with my near OCD propensity for details, ability to self-teach and learn quickly, to handle impossible deadlines often working best under pressure, and my desire to offer “ad-agency quality at design boutique prices”, I am your one-stop shop that can get the job done!

about Patrick Burnett

Patrick Burnett, a native Arkansan, born in Hot Springs, raised in Central Arkansas, is a self-taught graphic designer, photographer and multi-instrumentalist musician with over 25 years professional experience.

“I have a strong love of the outdoors. I love sailing the lakes, hiking the mountains and visiting the small, quaint towns scattered about the Northwest and North Central portions of the state. As a family, we love camping, kayaking, skateboarding and many other outdoor activities throughout the state regularly!

As a professional graphic designer since 1993, I’ve worked primarily in advertising. After working for several noted design studios and advertising agencies as an award-winning art director, I operated my first design studio in Downtown Little Rock from 1999-2006 offering graphic design, advertising/marketing, studio & location photography and web design & programming.

I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue the work I started with UNCAGEDcreative after working for a local publishing company as Creative Director from 2006-2014. I often said, as much as I enjoyed working for the company — a former client of my own studio — I felt like a “caged bird” and longed to spread my wings again. Hence, the name UNCAGEDcreative!

Currently living in Maumelle, and happily married to my high school sweetheart, Stacey, a physician at Conway Regional, circus arts/hula hooper and creative, fabric savvy crafter. We married after a 22 year absence and a mutual friend brought us back together in 2008, we are raising her two girls, both young adults now. I’d like to say they keep me young but they would both tell you that I am a perpetual youthful spirit, a music aficionado and a cultural ambassador to the family!

Although I work in many graphic/communication mediums professionally, along with a life-long love of photography, my heart will always be in music. I’ve been playing guitar since 1984, many other instruments (primarily piano/synthesizers, guitar, ukulele and harmonica) and I enjoy playing at home and with friends.”
